Chapter 38 - Family Drama - OVER?

Maybe it was the name, maybe it was because Red Bank is so small that the police aren't busy but it was only a matter of minutes before 2 radio cars responded to Beth's 911 call.
As they pulled in the driveway and down the slight hill, Jennifer looks at Beth and says, "You called the police on your own mother?"

"Get out of here!" Beth says between her teeth and with anger on her face.  "Get off our property and don't ever come back."

Jon steps in front of Beth, blocking her view of her mother and says, "She'll be gone in just a minute."

"I want her gone now."

"They will get her to leave, take a deep breath babe." he tells her, holding her arms.   He's watching the officers walk to them, and when they get close, he says, "Hello officers."

"Is everything okay here, Mr. Bon Jovi?" says the young officer that made his way to them first.  "We got a call for an intruder."

Beth spins around and says, in the clearest of words, "Get this woman off the property and get her off it now."

The young officer says, "What's going on Mrs. Bon Jovi?"

Jennifer jumps in and says, "She's not Mrs. Bon Jovi - she isn't worthy of the Bon Jovi name.  He'll never marry her, she's trash.  Always has been always will be."

Jon took Beth by the elbow and drags her toward the house, knowing that if Jennifer said one more word, he would have to bail Beth out of jail.  That's the last thing that he wanted to do.  As he drags her away, Beth is screaming over his shoulder, "Get out of here you stupid drunk bitch.  Tom shouldn't have died, you should have. Go have another drink Jennifer, maybe you can find a daughter at the bottom of the bottle."

He manages to get her in the door and tells her, "STAY HERE, I will be right back.  I'll get rid of her, but you need to stay in here."

Beth sits on the bench that's by the front door and nods, she knows that she needs to stay in the house.  "Just get her out of here, please."

"I will."  And he's out the door.  He explains everything to the police officers that were getting Jennifer's version.  She was out there making Beth look like a crazy woman until Jon gets to them.  He holds up his hands, as if to tell them don't talk and he says, "I want her escorted off the property and told to never come back.  Put that in your report and make sure I get a copy please."  He starts to walk backwards and looks at Jennifer, "Stay away from our homes and our family.  If you don't, I will have you prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Jon leaves Jennifer in the hands of the local PD and goes back into the house to calm Beth down.  When he got in the front door, Beth was  gone.  "Babe?" he yells from the bottom of the stairs.

"I'm in the kitchen." she hollers back at him.

He finds her in the kitchen with a glass of wine in her hand.  Smiling at her, he admits, "I thought you might be in here breaking shit, can you pour me some?"  He walks up to her and wraps his arms around her, holding her tight.

"She brought out the ugly in me, she won't get another ounce of my energy." Beth kind of deflates into his arms, feeling the security that she always felt when she was in his arms.  "I'm sorry you had to see me like that."

He laughs and tilts his head back, "I have never seen you so sexy as when you were talking like a sailor.  I didn't think you had it in you." he kisses her lips.

"That bitch pissed me off.  Is she gone?"

"She should be, the cops were dealing with her when I came back in."  Beth reaches over and pours Jon a glass of wine.  "What do you think she wants?"

"I don't care." she shakes her head, "I hated her when I was younger and I hate her more now.  She's lucky I didn't kick her ass."

Again, Jon laughs because he's seeing a side of Beth that he's never seen, she's spunky and vibrant - he loves it.   "Why would she just pop up out of nowhere?  When is the last time you seen her?"

Beth thinks for a minute and confesses, "I really don't remember the last time that I seen her, or my father.  And I really don't care."

"I think that Dillon was behind this.  It's obvious how out of the loop that your mo...I'm sorry, that Jennifer is.  She didn't know that we lost the twins?"

"Oh no, she knows.  That's her passive aggressive behavior shining through.  She took the worst thing to happen to me and used it to hurt me.  That right there was 100% Jennifer Adams being evil."

"You think so?"

"I know so.  She was always hurting people with her words, getting in the low blows as often as she could.  Her and Tom would do it to one another, specially when they were drunk."

"Do you think we'll have any more problems with her?" He questions, anticipating that they will.

Beth shakes her head no and says, "Not once I talk to Peter. I'll get restraining orders on her.  Not going to play games with her." She bumps her way passed Jon, hooking her finger into the top of his running short, "Let's go shower."

"Babe...."

Beth stops as looks at him, "What?"

"Just like that? You don't want to talk about what just went on in the driveway?"

"No, I told you I wasn't going to give her another ounce of energy.  She's gone, it's done - let's move on." She tugs on his shorts, "Come on."

"Are you sure?" He turns to follow her, "I don't want to blow over this if you need to talk about it."

"Jon, it's Jennifer. Now do you see why I don't stay in contact with her? Her, my father and Dillon are all alike."

"But they are your family."

"No they aren't."

They head upstairs and take their after running shower.

When they are finished, Beth slips into a light pink lingerie outfit and appears infront of her man that is still wet and wrapped in a towel. The smile on his face told her that she made the right decision in lingerie.  She could feel his intense stare at her and he was taking his metal pictures, like always.  "Babe, you look amazing!" He says as he walks to where she's at.  Standing in the walk in closet doorway, she puts on hand up on the door frame and positions her leg just enough to show him that she was his for the taking.

"I'm glad you noticed, I wasn't sure what you would think of this old thing.  I bought it a long time ago and never got to wear it."

"When did you buy it?"

"Shortly after we lost the girls. I thought it might help me feel attractive again." She walks into him and says, "We then got so busy I forgot I had it."

"I'm really glad that you found it, you look beautiful."

"Thanks, now take me to bed, Mr. Bon Jovi!"

"As you wish!" And he swoops her off of her feet and carries her to their bed.

They made love to and with one another in a way that they hadn't shared in a long time. She needed him, he needed her and they both were more than willing to give themselves to one another. Passion, lust, love and trust were the emotions that they shared, and that enhanced the love that they made.
