Chapter 16 - Don't Look Back, Let It Go

 



They start over the bridge on Oceanic Blvd  and Jon stops, dead in his tracks.  Beth, not paying very close attention runs right into him. 

Chapter 15 - Tragic and Beautiful



When she wakes up, she's not surprised to see that Jon is not in bed next to her, where he belongs.

Chapter 14 - Superman Tonight

Taking off the jewelry that Jon had given her earlier in the day, Beth turns around to Jon who was sitting on the bed unbuttoning his shirt, "What a great night!  I'm so thrilled that it all fell into place and we were able to do what we wanted."

Chapter 13 - Charity Begins At Home

 

 

Jon and Beth were greeted by close family members and close friends of the both of them.  All were amazed at how well they looked together.  She radiated class and he oozed sex appeal. 

Chapter 12 - Standing Shoulder to Shoulder

This was a day that both of them had thought about, together and separate.  Both afraid of the day, for what it represented but now looking forward to it.  In Greece, they decided that the date needed to stand for something positive, something meaningful.

Chapter 11 - Young Love Never Dies

The trip to Philly was fun.  They decided to drive down instead of fly so they could make a day of it. They needed time together, time away.  

Chapter 10 - Every Roads Leads Home

Weeks go by and with the help of a gentle and understanding therapist, Beth is finally able to let go of some of her grief and a lot of her pain.  He physical wounds have all healed and lately she's been working on the emotional ones. 

Chapter 9 - Help Comes In All Shapes And Sizes

 

With his head on her chest, Beth couldn't resist comforting him, he was hurting too.  She runs her fingers through his hair and said, "They helped me, Jon.  

Chapter 8 - Hearts Breaking Even?

He loves her like no other, because she is like no other.  She's hurt him the most and brought him some of the happiest times in his life, why is he having such a tough time talking to her about what happened? 

Chapter 7 - It's All Behind Them Now??

 

 

Jon stops in the middle of Beth's bedroom and just stands there, looking around.  He let's himself imagine the terror that she felt, the fear that she felt and now he can imagine how she must be feeling,  right now.

Having an on again, off again relationship with a rock star can be like work.  That's how it felt to Beth when she left New Jersey that cold afternoon, the afternoon that she learned about Melissa. 

Chapter 5 - The Right Side of Wrong

 

 

Beth wakes up and looks at the time on the cable box.  It's 3:30 in the afternoon, it has to be, the sun is out - she thinks to herself.  She looks over at the rock star that is snoring next to her and laughs. 

Chapter 4 - I Got The Girl (Who's Gonna Break My Heart)

They climbed into bed together, but not before Jon asked her if she wanted more Tylenol or anything else before they settled in for the 'night'.

The Captain thanks Beth for being so open and forthcoming with information that he knows couldn't have been easy.

Beth didn't like the question that she was just asked, because questions require an answer and she's the only one in that room that can answer that question.

There is no right way or wrong way to handle being assaulted.  Which is a good thing, since Beth has no idea how to act.
